Closer to the Truth show forum on parapsychology

http://www.hf.caltech.edu/cgi-bin/hnctt/get/show212.html

Two episodes of the Closer to the Truth TV series discussed parapsychology in useful ways and now there is a website continuing the discussion as to whether ESP is real, allowing access to some primary data, allowing questions to be asked and comments posted. If you are interested in the existence of ESP this may be interesting – personally I found the evidence for its existence overwhelmingly positive many years ago and have no interest in debating it, but it’s a live issue for some people – I want to get on with understanding what psi is, what it means, and its applications, as discussed in many of the papers on this paradigm-sys.com/cttart/ site.

I have read a couple of books by Mariana Caplan (as well as being interviewed by her a couple of times, so I might be biased) and am quite impressed by her deep knowledge of spiritual paths combined with an understanding of all the psychological pitfalls that can turn the student-teacher relationship into a pathological one. Something Unknown Is Doing We Don’t Know What

http://www.somethingunknown.com

This 100+ minute DVD is the best and most informative documentary about contemporary parapsychology research that I know of – and I say that even after I compensate for the bias that I’m one of the researchers interviewed. Ask Dr. Shulgin Online – Psychoactive Drug Info

http://www.alchemind.org/shulgin/

Stating that the Government has abdicated its responsibility to provide unbiased and accurate drug education and is thereby increasing the individual and social harms that may be associated with drug use, a nonprofit organization focused on “cognitive liberty,” the Alchemind Society, has unveiled a new online service aimed at providing real drug education. ASK DR. SHULGIN ONLINE allows any person with Internet access to ask word-famous chemist and writer Alexander Shulgin, Ph.D. a question regarding psychoactive drugs such as mescaline, LSD, and MDMA (Ecstasy).
