Mind at Large: Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers Symposia on the Nature of Extrasensory Perception (book cover front)

As with the Symposium on Consciousness book, this was another breakthrough in presenting parapsychological material in a prestigious establishment setting, the annual conference of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, held in New York City.  Besides chapters giving the basic findings of the pioneering remote viewing research at Stanford Research Institute that was sponsored by various government intelligence agencies, there are analyses by physicists trying to connect psychic abilities with quantum physics, physiological correlates of psychic functioning in remote viewing, my discovery of an information sharpening technique for improving ESP that I called transtemporal inhibition, and a survey of Soviet research on ESP and related areas.  Still highly relevant as it deals with the fundamental nature of psychic functioning, and we still have so much to learn to approach anything we could call a good understanding…
